#FlutterbyFriday An obliging Large Heath (Coenonmypha tullia sub species davus) posing on Cross-leaved Heath on the NW Lancashire coast whilst out with Cumbria Butterfly Group. The dark sub species "davus" has clearly defined "eye" spots and is only found in the North West.

#FlutterbyFriday With a few of my garden visitors yesterday, red admiral, peacock, speckled wood, large white. As you can see (2nd pic in from the top left) my buddleia is insane this year, along with golden rod and a huge unruly patch of lavender. @savebutterflies #Lancashire
