Poor indeed is a city where mature trees are chopped for creating concrete jungle and in which birds find no homes. When you chop trees like #Amaltas that attract a whole lot of birds including the purple sunbirds, you destroy an entire circle of life. #savedelhitrees #delhitree
In Sarojini Nagar, on a fully grown Amaltas tree, this is what I spotted. A purple sunbird using its delicate tongue to find nectar from the hearts of the last Amaltas blooms. The circle of life. The function of a mature tree, calling little wings & hearts to it. #savedelhitrees
