END OF AN ERA - today the world famous #ComputerBus makes its final appearance in the Isle of Man where it has served 1000s of children and provided a first class ICT education. I will be at the decommissioning ceremony this afternoon. A sad day.

Came across this at the #ComputerBus decommissioning event today. Mr Townsend produced island-wide school newspapers in the 90s. Flicked through this edition from Feb 95 & found an article I wrote, aged 14. Lovely piece of nostalgia. Such a shame the ComputerBus service is over.

Here is the #ComputerBus outside @DhoonSchool before it got its extension, so it must have been the late 90s. Sad to see the slogan “Destination: The Future” as today the bus was decommissioned from service.

Incase anyone is curious, I screencaptured the computer bus from a 1985 episode of BBC's microlive. I believe the computer bus was an initiative of several schools in England which shared the mobile resources of the #computerbus the data 70 font makes it look especially retro
