Signs/symptoms of swallowing or inserting a button battery include swallowing difficulties, coughing or noisy breathing, pain/irritability, abdominal pain, nose bleeds. Sometimes there are no symptoms at all. #CheckforPoisons #NPPW2025

Go to the emergency room right away if you think your child has swallowed a button battery. On the way, give the child 2 tsp of honey every 10 mins (up to 6 doses). Honey coats the battery and may help reduce the risk of injury. #CheckForPoisons #NPPW2025
