Another assault on a transit driver. A teenage girl assaulted last week. In 2023 the Mayor promised an “immediate” safety plan after stabbings on the CTrain. Two years later, the violence continues. Calgarians deserve real action, not photo-ops.

Lesson for Toronto on future LRTs: if you make the ramp SLIGHTLY higher, you can have a high-floor train. Compared to the low-floor LRVs on Finch, Calgary's CTrain has flat floors inside, nearly doubling capacity per car. They also have less mechanical failure than low-floor LRV.
