I’m deeply grateful to the residents of Ward 11 for your trust and support. It’s an incredible honour to serve our community as your new City Councillor. I also want to thank Kourtney Penner and Alex Williams for their dedication and efforts during the campaign.

Yesterday, Council debated blanket rezoning. I’ve been clear in Ward 11: repeal it. Period. No replacement, no compromises. That’s what I’ll keep fighting for. Watch my debate on a motion that moved to replace it without first hearing from the public.

Tonight’s Hanukkah menorah lighting at City Hall was both meaningful and reflective, especially as our hearts are heavy after the tragic events in Sydney. May the menorah’s light remind us of compassion, unity, and the right of every faith to worship safely and without fear. 🕯️🕎

While knocking doors in Ward 11, residents were clear: blanket rezoning and the loss of community input were major concerns. Today, Council listened. By a 13–2 vote, Council directed administration to begin repealing blanket rezoning, leading to a public hearing in March. #yyccc

Really enjoyed visiting Platform Calgary this week. Their work to help new businesses launch and grow in Calgary is impressive, and it was valuable to meet the team behind it. Proud of strong home-grown innovation in our city.

I had a great visit at the Osten & Victor Tennis Centre today. The commitment to excellence - both in the facility and the programming - is remarkable, and it shows why this centre is recognized across the country. I’m proud that Ward 11 is home to such an outstanding place!

Today I joined volunteers and fellow council members at the Calgary Food Bank to kick off the annual Food Bank Challenge. The need in our city continues to grow, and community efforts like this make a real difference. Thank you to everyone for donating time, food, and resources.

Day 3 of Budget Week at City Council. This morning’s discussion with Calgary Police leadership reinforced how vital stable, effective public safety funding is for every neighbourhood. Supporting the people and resources that keep Calgary safe must remain a priority. #yyccc

What I’m hearing from many Calgarians is clear: they want a Council that stays focused on core services and delivers them efficiently and responsibly.

Joined CBC this morning to kick off Budget Week. Ward 11 residents want stable taxes, strong core services, and real accountability at City Hall. That’s exactly what I’m fighting for.

Thank you to @meadowlarkparkyyc for hosting an excellent Crime & Safety Presentation and for inviting me to join @calgarypolice and @cityofcalgary bylaw. Throughout the campaign, residents were clear that safety matters.

Although the item didn’t proceed, understanding the process is important so that future decisions follow the policy clearly and consistently. I welcome this discussion at a future meeting of council.

I voted yes to adding the flag-raising discussion to today’s agenda because I believed it was important for council to review how the policy was used and why the ceremony date was moved by administration or the Mayor’s office.
