Fridays are a great day to check next week’s calendar and see if there are any meetings you can remove or migrate to an async format. Red flags: no agenda, not urgent OR impactful, reoccurring for 2+ months, check-ins that could be done async. Let’s work more #AsyncNotASAP 🙌🏼

Me this morning when I checked my calendar and remembered that I gave myself the gift of scheduling zero meetings this week. #AsyncNotASAP

My @doist swag-pack arrived just in time to remind me to work #AsyncNotAsap today 🙇🏻‍♂️ Urgency is exaggerated, speed is overrated, and presenteeism is over-valued. Deep work drives results. So let’s focus intensely, disconnect fully, then go & enjoy the weekend✌️ @TwistWork

Instant responses aren't a sign of an efficient workplace, they're a symptom of a distracted team. #AsyncNotASAP

Reflections from a recent @Doist survey: Q: How many hours per week do you spend in synchronous meetings? A: 95% are spending less than 5 hours per week in meetings, with 60% reporting less than 2 hours per week, and 0% reporting more than 8 hours per week. #AsyncNotASAP

When your calendar looks like this, it's amazing how much *real* work you can get done. 🚀 #DeepWork #AsyncNotASAP

Here is my calendar for this week. 🔑 The secret? Embracing an async-first work approach! It's a game-changer, and I'm surprised more people (especially leaders) haven't adopted it yet.

“In 2021 MS Teams saw a 42% rise in chats after normal work hours…Flexibility is great, people are saving nearly 6 hours weekly by commuting less. But they’re also spending half of the saved time doing more work.”🤦🏻‍♀️ Lets embrace more #AsyncNotASAP 🙋🏻‍♀️ https://t.co/ZwisoB9Z9o

@tevih @amix3k Thanks for the great question.🙏 The true answer: not really! Our team is always looking for ways to tweak and improve our systems, but "more meetings" hasn't been an approach we've used. #AsyncNotASAP 🙂

The leading distributed teams run on asynchronous comms, so we created the Async Newsletter to dive deep on remote done right ✍🏼 “Changing the way the world works, one cancelled meeting and silenced notification at a time.” @TwistWork #AsyncNotASAP https://t.co/m48MKd8hCT
