'And when thou art weary I'll find thee a bed, Of mosses and flowers to pillow thy head.' John Keats I woke up about 50 times last night. And can feel my body trembling today. All this news is not doing my nerves any good. Why can't good people be in charge of the world....

Shakespeareโ€™s snowdrops. Heyrick Greatorex, one of the earliest snowdrop breeders, honoured Shakespeareโ€™s heroines in several cultivars. This is โ€˜Hippolytaโ€™ from A Midsummer Nightโ€™s Dream. Her name means โ€œshe who unleashes horsesโ€. Notice the horseshoe marking on its inner petal.

Our first leveret rescue of the year ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ‡ This tiny young hare was brought to us after being picked up by a dog. Thankfully the wound was small, and it's doing well in our care. As spring approaches, please keep dogs under control - it can make all the difference for #wildlife .

When the fairies tire of dancing each night, they slip off their tiny shoes and hide them beneath white dead-nettle blooms. But beware, should a centipede find them there, it will steal them away and wear them out, dancing until dawn! ๐Ÿงš๐Ÿ› #FolkloreSunday #wildflowers
