Extended opening hours! Today (Thursday!) We are open from 2-7...this gives you 2 extra hours to enjoy the library and all it has to offer. From our WiFi, games, computers, books and peace

Who knows...maybe there will be chocolate factory libraries, maybe laptops will be floating or we will have robots who read to us; whatever the future - we're so pleased to be opening the doors to so many of our young local residents and hear all their wonderful and fun thoughts

We've discussed why libraries change over the years, what the ideal library of the future might look like, why (other than books) people might visit the library and heard about some of the Guinness world records the students think they can beat!

We've had so many fantastic school vists recently, all of which have reminded us of the beauty of reading and the wonderful conversations that happen when you allow children to simply explore.

The reality is the cost of anything adds up...if you're worried about not supporting artists, libraries also support authors - it's just 1 of the reasons they've stood the test of time.

Books can be incredibly expensive, especially if you read often or have young children who fly through books - local libraries (like us!) provide a service, whilst giving back to authors. If you have 1 local library it's likely you can access books from all over London free!
