This was a wonderful moment for me, joining up two projects I am immensely proud to be working with; @WigmoreLearning Music for Life and @BeaconLearning_ Our Music Club.
Our Creative Producer Giulia and musician @hannahopstad joined @wigmore_hall this week, celebrating 30 years of their Music for Life programme supporting people with dementia. Inspirational! Lots of learning to bring to Bristol for 'Our Music Club' community sessions each week🎺

Nothing but huge respect and love to this remarkable lady, Ruth, talking about her son, Fergus, who died this year. She has great advice on how to talk to bereaved people - be brave and talk about the person who has died. Use their name.

Today our foyer was filled with beautiful mellow trumpet, jazz guitar and accordion as Our Music Club hosted a monthly open group for people living with #dementia as part of #CelebratingAge festival @ageukbristol. It sounded so great, now we all want to join!

Great to visit Our Music Club yesterday, ahead of the start of our weekly sessions this term. A very special morning!
A surprise for Knowle residents as we marked the start of Our Music Club with a musical visit to people living with dementia. A resident said "[My husband] sat on a chair in the doorway and joined in when asked to conduct! I can't tell you how much they meant to us today."
