Can you tell what language an inscription is written, just by looking at a few characters?. Usually, no.

* Vishnuvardhana went to Vengi to establish the Vengi Chalukya line. * Vengi is located in *current day* Andhra . * The painting in Ajanta does not depict the court of Pulikeshi ( The cave was excavated and artwork there completed about 150 years before Pulikeshi II ) . #Chalukya.
@AyyangarBksr Kubja Vishnuvardha was the brother of Pulakeshi, the Chalukya emperor of Badami. His paintings can be found even in Ajanta caves. Vishnuvardhana was sent to rule Vengi which is present day Telangana. Do you think he is a Telugu? Simple answer No.

The inscription is in #Samskrta language, neither Kannada nor Telugu. Kannada and Telugu scripts practically are the same for several centuries. Most of the divergence crystalized after printing came to vogue.
@AyyangarBksr Since when 'ಕ' is written like tat in Telugu? It's clearly a Kannada inscription as in the highlighted line alone. Stop history theft just cuz Telugu also uses Kadamba lipi. It's known tat Kannada king Immadi Pulikeshi's bro started #VengiChalukya as feudatory to #BadamiChalukyas.
