Design practice creating beautiful and inclusive work for commercial, public and 3rd sector organisations. Brand/Digital/Product. Come and say h!
Eastbourne, England
Joined October 2014
As a practice, we're all about designing #accessible and #inclusive products - doing anything less just feels like lazy design. Because it's not top of many clients lists we spend a lot of time explaining to achieve stakeholder buy in. Time consuming but totally worth it!

Per is back! Using Conference pears, grown less than ten meters from Ascension HQ, this soft, aromatic blend is a seasonal favourite of ours. Available to order this week in Bag in Box, with sparkling cans coming in the next few weeks!

Mantis shrimp hold the world record for the most complex visual system. They have up to 16 photoreceptors and can see UV, visible and polarised light being the only animals known to detect circularly polarised light [📹 MJ Ogata: https://t.co/gj0gAzzm1p]

AI is automated capitalism. It is authoritative propaganda with no falsifiable source of truth. It is rapidly scaling labor and environmental exploitation. It is a sleight of hand using statistics that spins itinerant and relatively ephemeral stereotypes into scientific facts.
It takes 360.000 gallons of water/day to cool a data centre! Exploitation of workers, workplace automation, & mass discrimination of marginalised groups, these are REAL existential risks, not this latest PR stunt, my interview https://t.co/iLWMtysopB

It's #WorldCiderDay today, so when you pop into the pub, why not make this the day you try a half of that mysterious bag in box of still cider, a schooner of the keg, or a bottle or can from the fridge? You might just find your mind changed on what cider is...

Despite the chaos it caused, I almost feel bad for the contractors on this one, must have been one hell of a sinking feeling... https://t.co/RP4RKozhWB

Everything we call civilization was invented in the last 500 generations—way too short a time for our bodies and brains to re-optimize. We're a bunch of primates in a totally unnatural environment, trying our best. Good thing to keep in mind!

I've noticed a drop in unpaid internships recently, which is a good thing. They were expected and common when I graduated nearly 20 years ago. It doesn't stop gatekeeping however, which seems to be as much of a problem as ever and favours the better off and connected.
The number of people in the creative industries who are from a working class background has fallen by 50% since 1970 to under 8% today. It explains why so little of what we see in the arts is viewed through a genuine working class lens.

I just completed an important space history video restoration project, there's an often shared video showing a Mac Portable ejecting a floppy disk in zero G, but it's painfully low quality, so I found a better source and cleaned it up.
