I hear many say “2019 was the year when the public woke up to the climate crisis”. This is a misconception. A small but rapidly growing number of people have started to wake up to the climate crisis. This has only just begun. We’re still only scratching the surface.

Bottom trawling churns the sea bed up like a ploughed field. It damages the ecosystem and reduces carbon capture. It is the equivalent of clear felling a rain forest and then ploughing the soil. We need to adopt modern fishing methods - this is archaic technology!
