Fauja Singh Ji was on a walk in Jalandhar when he was struck by a vehicle. He succumbed to his injuries. What a tragic way for such a legendary life to come to an end he was 114 years old. Deepest condolences.

Absolutely agree. Sikh history is integral to India's journey, and limiting it to 1765 omits pivotal contributions—from Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s rule to the sacrifices made in the freedom struggle. DU must revise the syllabus to truly reflect the depth and impact of Sikh heritage.
It is heartening to note that Delhi University has launched “Sikh Martyrdom in Indian History” as a General Elective but it currently covers only period 1500–1765 only. It must be extended to 1947 to include Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s reign and the Sikhs role in India’s freedom
