Here is a terrific photo of Sir John A. on his birthday. This photo appears in my new book about Canada's prime ministers, available online and at book stores near you. I also wrote an essay about him in yesterday's Globe and Mail. https://t.co/hfu4Acuj9F

Parliament commissioned this portrait of Macdonald to mark his 75th birthday in 1890, the last year of his life. It hangs in the foyer of the House of Commons, and was the first instalment in the collection of Prime Ministerial portraits. In it the Old Chieftain looks

Happy Birthday to Sir John A. Macdonald, Canada’s first Prime Minister. He delivered Confederation, united a continent with the Canadian Pacific Railway, and gave us a strong, sovereign country. Let’s honour the legacy of the man who built Canada. 🇨🇦

The NDP said DRIPA wouldn’t have enforceable consequences. Courts are now proving that was wrong. This legislation is injecting uncertainty into BC’s laws, legal system, regulatory framework, investment, and economy. You don’t “patch” a broken foundation — you repeal it.
This is worth watching - the BC Conservatives can’t justify their plan to kill the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act - which would set reconciliation back a generation and mean fighting endlessly in court instead of working together to build a great future for everyone.

🚨BC NDP is 0-2 in the courts since Dec 5, 2025. I thought the Premier’s masterful negotiation tactics were going to keep us out of the courts? Now taxpayers are on the hook for a large legal bill because the NDP was incapable of meeting bare-minimum s35 standards of

It's revealing to see what Vancouver residents do NOT find most important. Despite the political talk, @leger360 found Vancouverites do not place strong emphasis on: - "building stronger relationships with racial communities" 4% - "reconciliation with Indigenous communities" 4%

The firearms buyback isn’t reducing violent crime in B.C. Illegal guns come through ports and borders, not lawful owners. Scrap the buyback in B.C. and redirect those funds to: securing borders, ports, intelligence, and organized crime enforcement. Public safety needs results
