There was a crash southbound just before exit 82A. Two lanes were blocked. The crash has been cleared, but southbound traffic is still backed up about 5 miles.

The emergency repairs to the entrance ramp at exit 105 were completed last night. The entrance to the northbound local lanes at that location is open this morning.

The 1st baby ever born on the Garden State Parkway arrived on July 11, 1955. The lad, William Parkway Cimilluca, soon had company in the so-called Stork Club. In this 1959 clip, 8 Parkway babies appeared together on the game show "I've Got A Secret."

The demolition of the Vauxhall and Brookdale South service areas is about to begin. They will be closed for business starting tomorrow. New facilities at both locations are scheduled to open in the spring of 2023.
