Grieving this morning at the passing of my friend Jeff Meyers, pastor of FBC Opelika, AL. He was 52. Jeff was a great man who loved the kingdom, loved his family, and led a great church. Join me in praying for his wife and sons, and the church he loved. This is heartbreaking.

One of my favorite brands, which I’ve been buying from for years, was bought up by a private equity group who destroyed it within a year. Now it doesn’t even exist. There should be a law that forces private equity groups to stay away from businesses that are 100 years old.

Hugh Freeze: says he just needed more time after showing no on field progress in three years, making the same mistakes repeatedly, and tanking recruiting class. Auburn fans, riding a high of hiring Golesh and retaining Durkin:

What prevents a city like Nashville from pouring money into a local college NIL fund because they recognize a good team is good for local economic development? In Auburn or Tuscaloosa, $25 million a year is a lot of money. In Nashville, it’s nothing. Is there a rule about this?

It’s funny how NIL changes the way you view transition at college football programs. You lose players and commits and guys transfer and you’re just shrug. Why? Well because we’ve got 20 million reasons to believe there are some pretty good players that will want to play here.

Is it too early to say that the reason Ole Miss fans are reacting this way is because they know that this is the pinnacle of their program history and it’s unlikely they get back there soon?

Pretty interesting that Lane thinks his entire staff is as low integrity as he is. I’m not sure they are.
Ole Miss admin is currently meeting with the team leadership council before the full team meeting at 9 a.m. Following up on @Brett_McMurphy report, Lane Kiffin threatening to take offensive staff immediately if he can't finish the season.

We get what we deserve. No discipline. Constant mistakes. Flush the program. Start over.

The way you know that he didn’t have possession of the ball is because it’s Preston Howard.

Someone tell him that if he can just give us like $200 or $300 million, we can make every visit to a football game he ever makes in the future considerably better.

Never in a million years what I’ve guessed that the storyline for Stranger Things was literally just the main plot line from Harry Potter.

The Texas A&M commitment to heartbreaking endings is unlike any other commitment I’ve ever known in sports. Good job Aggies. The streak is alive.
