Met my pals at @SustransScot today to see the new path leading to the Monkland Canal near Coatbridge. The route used to be muddy and at times impassable.

Yesterday I visited the @wisegroup_se in Airdrie and heard from Sean Donnelly, Maria Ruponen and Hilary Baxter how they help to lift families out of poverty through mentoring. They have an impressive record.

There’s a need for more advocacy to help those suffering from a wide range of problems such as addiction, mental heat and poverty.
Great to meet with @GrahamSMSP to discuss our human rights-based advocacy training and accredited qualification and the need for improved human rights access and awareness in Scotland!

Super day out on the @PS_Waverley from Glasgow today. It’s held in great affection here and also elsewhere in the UK where she also visits. It’ll be 80 years since her maiden voyage in just a couple of years, which is amazing. Great chat and great views today.

I got to see how @scottish_water turns 1.5m litres of water a day into clean. drinkable liquid every day for 144,000 customers from its Carron Valley treatment plant. Thanks to operations team leader Stephen Gill for showing me round.

🧴| Say goodbye to the 100ml rule. Edinburgh Airport is Scotland's first airport to lift the 100ml liquid limit, thanks to new x-ray technology. You can now keep liquids in your bag when going through security, and those liquid containers can be up to two litres each.

The @thebankscot got its fingers burned when it invested in the doomed deposit return scheme and lost £8m of our money. I put it to them at the @SP_PublicAudit that one lesson is that they should steer clear of government schemes.
