A Quebec waterbomber attempts to defend Webequie First Nation from a fire threatening the community while Ontario’s waterbombers are grounded due to a lack of pilots. A forest firefighting program that's undervalued, underfunded, and a province unprotected. #ONpoli

NEW: Ontario budgeted $52M for pro-Ontario commercials that were meant to fend off U.S. tariffs. A large chunk of it was spent on Fox News, U.S. President Trump's favourite media network. https://t.co/z1gkLVBaBd #onpoli

Doug Ford promised 6 new waterbombers during the election, now he won't answer if waterbombers have been ordered for Ontario. Meanwhile: 🔥 Wildfire budget: $130 million 💸 Ford government advertising budget: $103 million #ONpoli

I’m at the TTC board advocating for platform edge doors. Cities around the world already have them. Toronto has a responsibility to prevent tragedies. We also know that trespassing onto the tracks contributes to the delays riders experience and makes the TTC less reliable.

Ford government wants to hide older long-term care inspection reports, limiting public access to just 3 yrs of data. This would shield bad actors from accountability and make it harder for families to choose safe care. Transparency shouldn't have an expiration date. #ONpoli

The Ford government tried to hide the truth from people when he decided to open the Greenbelt for development so a few wealthy, well-connected insiders could cash in $8.3 billion. How can we trust them not to act the same way and enrich wealthy insiders with the special

Doug Ford tried to hide his abysmal housing record—by deleting the online tracker and counting LTC beds as housing. But the numbers don’t lie: 🔻 Housing starts down 17% 📉 Only 323 new homes/month 📉 Lowest Q1 starts since 2009 You can’t pave over failure with spin. #ONpoli

NEW: After Ontario added long-term care beds to its housing start numbers and set municipal targets, it created an online tracker. For months now, that has been dormant despite the data being ready in February, according to internal docs. #Onpoli https://t.co/gptAZRFRTc

🚨The Ford government used code words to hide Greenbelt records. Ontario's own privacy commissioner says it was "unduly difficult" to trace decisions that enriched developers and gutted public trust. This scandal is corruption in plain sight. #ONpoli

Political staff in Doug Ford's government used code words to thwart requests for Greenbelt documents and left a surprisingly small paper trail for such a consequential policy, says Ontario's access to info watchdog. ⬇️Story by @allisonjones_cp⬇️ #onpoli https://t.co/M8bIsfqPpY

While Doug Ford pretends to be Captain Canada, let’s recall how he lowered Ontario manufacturing content from 25 to 10%. In Thunder Bay be sure to ask @KHollandPC about why we can’t as a province ensure much higher 🇨🇦content. #OnPoli #Alstom #Transit @OntarioNDP @OFLabour

Ford in town for a Thunder Bay photo op at Alstom. When the Cons spent $9 Billion of taxpayer money to send work to the USA - they are not supporting workers in Ontario Doug Ford lowered Canadian manufacturing content rules from 25% to 10% -in the US it has long been 75%! #onpoli

Thanks to Luke from StopGap Fdn and Janet from @Disability_WP the meeting . We talked about the daily barriers Ontarians with disabilities face—and the urgent need to tear them down. Accessibility isn’t a luxury. It’s a right. Everyone deserves equal access to every space.

In Northern Ontario, folks are still waiting for safety upgrades on Highways 11 & 17 — lifelines for national trade and local communities. These long-promised investments keep falling to the bottom of the list — while Ford’s $100 billion dream tunnel shoots to the top. Why?

Now more than ever we need a Buy Ontario-Built in Ontario approach. We know @UniforTheUnion Local 1075 perform highly skilled work and produce world class transit vehicles. Building TTC cars here provides good jobs, better value, and a smarter way to spend public dollars.
