Whilst today's defeat was a very bitter pill to swallow just found out that 2 of our players talked down a 19 year old lad off jumping off a bridge in their way home. They stayed with him for 20 mins till the police arrived. Hope he gets the help he needs and well done lads! 👏💚

A few eyebrows were raised and a few people didn't think it would be possible.

Today would've been Brook Johnson's 39th birthday. Brook, who played for Golcar & was a supporter, sadly passed away in 2012. In 2020, the new stand was named in Brook's memory meaning that he'll always be remembered by everyone at GUFC.

We've broken various attendance records this season.
Firstly, 700 against Huddersfield Town in Jul 2021 was our record attendance.
We also set our record league attendance vs. Holker Old Boys in Jan 2022 with 645.
Saturday will see us smash both those figures against Bury.

Kiero Lawrence has missed just one league game this season, and has been part of a defence that have kept four clean sheets so far this season.
He is one of the few remaining players from the club's amateur days.

Jordan Townend first played for Golcar in the first ever semi-professional match in August 2019.
Although he had a short spell at Steeton earlier this year, he returned to the club & has remained in the side ever since. Including a full 120 minutes of the Final on Saturday.
