I don’t want to single out ChatGPT here . Most AI chat apps can give your conversation history away if legally required.

You should use LLMs locally. On your hardware that you own and control . Matter a fact, self-host as many things as you can.

The reason why Proton is doing this is quite simple, if they have infrastructure in other countries they can't be held hostage by Switzerland . Proton is not the bad guy here.
