Richmond could tap into a special fund related to tax-delinquent properties in order to pay $5.8M to wrongfully convicted Marvin Grimm, according to a new memo from the CAO. That fund currently has more than $9M in it.

RPD says it can't say for sure who fired the shot that killed Renzo Smith, the stepfather of Shawn Jackson. But they know it wasn't Amari Pollard (the convicted shooter). And Smith didn't shoot himself with his own gun.

Two other juveniles who fired guns won't be charged for injuries they might've caused to bystanders because they were acting in "defense of others," per Richmond authorities.
