Farewell (former) Chancellor Becky Blank. Rest in peace. You are remembered fondly. https://t.co/4LBfrUzrbl When someone is gone, you realize what they meant to you. You are an example. 🥹

Mijn nieuwe boek Ons Voedsel, een levenslang verhaal, verscheen vorige week en de 1e druk is al bijna uitverkocht. Wat fijn dat zowel mensen willen lezen over de nuance in het debat! My latest book, Our food, a lifelong story, has been published last week, 1st edition sold out!

Resin block trained kids were almost better at finding ticks on self compared to cartoon trained kids.

Hannah Fenelon trained staff. Staff trained kids at summer camp to prevent tick-borne diseases. Resin blocks are cooler than cartoons 😉. #MCEVBD @UWMadisonCALS #WorkInProgress @SPaskewitz @WUR

Overdue to be shared at a conference. Luckily the work did get published during the first year of the COVID pandemic. Here is the publication

Which is a tick? Nymphal tick recognition is hard for Wisconsinites. Want to make your own resin block? https://t.co/ULQhgYD00z

The moment you realize, you should have had this perspective many years ago🫣. Writing out lambda in the Poisson distribution, introducing time explicitly. #Math

And I get the gain of function heebeejeebees. While thinking, US citizens are already partaking in the real-life epidemiological study: Q1- How often did you consume deer meat harvested from CWD counties in the past 5, 10, 20 years?
I've always worried that persistence of chronic wasting dz in cervid popn's will increase the risk it jumps to new hosts, leading to new transmissibility and zoonotic risks (as happened when scrapie led to BSE). This paper supports that concern. https://t.co/4LaTf6kSyc
