GlohMed organized a seminar on “Burkholderia pseudomallei and Melioidosis”, at Khwopa Hospital, Bhaktapur (Guest speaker: Prof Ivo Steinmetz, a senior German scientist and Head of Hygiene & Microbiology in Graz, Austria). Supported lab supplies & training to ⬆️ research capacity.

Last year, dengue cases surpassed "secure zone" in March, crossed "alarm zone" in July. Alarms could've been triggered for potential outbreak in March; epidemic could've been declared in early July. In absence of alarm systems, cases & deaths surged until October #TMGH @glohmed
