When not performing with NZ Barok our player's can be found tutoring & conducting over the summer break at music camps, teaching their instruments in universities, schools or privately and performing with other professional orchestras. The love of music runs deep for all involved

My book arrived. Anonymous reviewers said it “offers something new to the music education canon. It has potential for significant impact to the discourse of the field” "It serves as a corrective or an additive to the current themes being explored in the field”. Gosh.

Delighted to announce a special edition of @BJME discussing the Swanwick/Tillman spiral, for which I've been privileged to be guest editor. A wonderful collection of papers, including brand new articles from Keith Swanwick and June Boyce-Tillman.

Extract from McPhail, Thorpe, & Wise (Eds) 2018 attached. It's about #musiceducation in New Zealand. Wondering what the equivalent for England might say?

Great paper from @ta_hughson and @BronwynEWood in the J of Ed Policy on the OECD Learning Compass. The OECD perpetuate an odd view of epistemic knowledge as practice rather than object. They need more knowledge about knowledge!
