I love when people say “If you’re poor just don’t have kids” So poor people can’t afford material things, can’t afford new experiences and also shouldn’t build families because they are poor? Basically they’re not allowed to experience any kind of meaning in this life? Alright

I have this fantasy, I want to exchange letters with someone but in this economy the cost of sending a single letter within Europe is crazy. It's so hard to be such a romantic person in this day and age...

I can already foresee a new cult or religion based on AI or AGI and the people who passionately believe that AI is superior to us will be the first believers. Exciting (!) times ahead.
It's possible that people who say LLMs have/will replicate human consciousness believe so because when they use the LLMs, they cannot clearly see how original, critical thought is functionally missing from these programs, because they too are incapable of the very same thing.

It’s important to recognize that diseases that affect women the most receive less attention overall but this should not turn into a victim mindset. There are talented female scientists who can work on these diseases and find a treatment/cure
we have diseases like pcos, fibromyalgia, endometriosis which significantly reduces a woman’s quality of life w no treatment and women are told to just deal w it but yes let’s cure male patterned baldness
