Excited to have my climate-crisis story 'Tipping' in this fab new book of shorts, 22 Fictions (2025) from @DesperateLit @BrickLaneBooks & Cheerio Publishing. Forward by @WednesdayErskin & @badaud_e 'If 22 Fictions is an argument for the short form, it is winning.'@WritingRoomOrg

Hundreds of trees have been felled for a road widening scheme in north Plymouth. Despite that, an application is in, in the same area to fell 27 mature trees, covered by a TPO to build a new showroom for a car dealership! This is not essential and the harm cannot be justified.

🧵Just tried to pop into my library & it's closed. Again. @haringeylibrary service is in chaos.But guess what? Library boss Brian Mihayo wins award for'transforming' our libraries! Did he miss the memo that libraries have to actually be open to class as 'vibrant community hubs?'

My books are due back @stroudgreenlibrary but it's closed again due to staff shortages. One of the many dismal decline-in-service issues, ahead of closing our library 2 days a week. Is this really the borough of culture? @perayahmet @MichaelRosenYes

https://t.co/pj0sDKlKAb Stroud Green library is a warm space for homeless, disadvantaged & those with mental health issues. @haringeycouncil seem to not know this & will close it 49% of the week. @perayahmet @MichaelRosenYes
@mikehakata @alexworre11 @haringeylibrary Scandalous.
