for my last book i sent out 175+ queries over the course of 2 years. every single one was genuine and to agents i earnestly thought would be a great fit for it. querying in the past few years SUCKS.
Can we talk querying stats for newly #agented authors? Only a few years ago, industry advice was to give up after sending 20 queries, but from what I've seen, I think querying authors are sending 100s of queries now before getting success. Am I right?.
