Celebrate those rare occasions when you think you made arrangements that must have been a mistake and then realize there was sound logic behind them--fortunately before changing them.

Great piece. I love Pat and did some work for him but in hindsight maybe he was too nice given bad hands. I really hope Tan can turn things around.
Will Lip-Bu Tan be Intel’s last CEO as well as its best one since the founders? $INTC https://t.co/MCwbxhIMGu

AI has characteristics in common with cloud. Even if you were sold on cloud becoming a big deal, a lot of the details that many accepted ended up being basically wrong. I've posted my thoughts on some of the aspects of AI where surprises might lurk . https://t.co/hDoakzXmWF

A practice I've run into recently that I'm not fond of is confirming purchase of tickets to a show but not actually emailing you the tickets until maybe a couple of days prior. I can imagine *some* logic but I don't love having those kinds of loose ends when traveling.

Putting together first conference presentation in a while. Doesn't help that my archives are sort of a mess as I had to export my RH stuff at one point but haven't really figured out how to best use.

I am really ready for a vacation (and also RedMonk) break. I've basically been a general contractor all summer and I'm tired/done.

How many phone calls do you suppose went out over the weekend to the effect of "You oppose--nay, don't enthusiastically support--this candidacy and you are dead to this party for all time"?
