4/ The report acknowledges strong evidence that a standard pass in English and maths should continue to be the ambition for as many learners as possible. We hope this is reflected in the final report, and recommend the introductions of a GCSE "stepping stone" to enable this.

📚 For GCSE English, the national gap is 13.4 percentage points. On our programmes, disadvantaged students didn’t just catch up - they outperformed their peers by 1.6 percentage points.

🔢 Nationally, GCSE maths resit pass rates for students from disadvantaged backgrounds are 10.7 percentage points lower than for their peers. On our programmes, this shrinks to just 2.5 percentage points.

Yesterday, we launched our latest Impact Report for our GCSE Resit Tuition Programme. The standout finding? Our small-group tuition substantially narrows the attainment gap in GCSE maths and completely closes it in GCSE English. 🎉
