Started my day watching this fantastic talk. Wondering if next gen journals should be Gits
Since I posted this talk, I've received several sincere notes from ppl who gave up on careers in academia out of frustration with sloppiness of research. Don't know how widespread it is, but this is not the kind of selection effect we want, driving out conscientious scholars. >>

I am just wondering if there is any R package that supports in confounder identification using change in estimate criteria and backward deletion. With a number of variables, removing variable one at a time process tends to take forever.. Any help #rstats #epidemiology #rladies

Fascinating paper on the real world challenges of carrying out landscape scale experiments. In this case testing payments for ecosystem services to improve water quality in Bolivia. Lots of important lessons.

Nepal's forest cover expanded from 26% in 1992 to 45% in 2016, making it an exception to the global trend of deforestation. One key reason why is the exodus of millions of Nepalis every year for jobs abroad, which has reduced reliance on the land.
