For all those who have been asking about the secrecy of the House of Bishops' meetings, Andrew Atherstone provides a very useful history. Time to consider again whether meeting in camera just produces a lack of accountability and huge mistrust.

I want to highlight this incredibly important piece in the @ChurchTimes. Clergy burnout is huge at the moment. Many clergy I know and love - outstanding, faithful priests - are exhausted. Many are on the point of leaving ministry because demands on them are now unsustainable.

John Spence now telling General Synod: "We are hearing reports of a lack of confidence among candidates that there will be long-terms posts for them and among dioceses about their ability to fund those long term posts"
