There is a lot of hubbub about RNA vaccines & I'm an RNA biologist π§΅. RNA is the message made from DNA that tells our body what proteins the cell should make. If DNA is the waiter, then RNA is the restaurant ticket to tell the body what dish (protein) to make 1/3.

Getting a PhD teaches us how to learn deeply in one topic so that we can continue to do so for the rest of our lives! We do not know everything, but a deep sliver of one thing.
Stop this ELITIST narrative that people with PhDs know EVERYTHING. We know A LOT about ONE thing, maybe TWO or FOUR things, but every damn thing? No. Learning does NOT stop at the PhD. You learn for life.
