A diagnosis can be life changing for people who have struggled all their lives. It takes a lot to ask to ask for help as an adult. The worry is that people with a new diagnosis will no longer be taken seriously.

People with ADHD by its very nature suffer with life impacting levels of imposter syndrome and rejection sensitivity which is further compounded by reports such as this.

Whilst areas of poor clinical practice should be highlighted, and lessons should be learned, the issue here is another example of chronic underfunding for the NHS not an epidemic of misdiagnoses.

Good 🧵on the Panarama ADHD issue here plus my two pence-worth. Whilst free speech and investigative journalism is a useful tool within our society, the backlash from this programme will cause harm and distress to hundreds. #ADHD.
