I’m sad because this was pretty much the place that built my dream career, but it’s not what it once was. I’ll keep everything up just incase. Thanks to the disability community that I met and still keep in touch with. Hopefully see you elsewhere! 💖

Aaaand it’s time to go home ✈️ honestly @Ryanair have been fantastic so far. Still yet to get on the plane but the staff have been so attentive and welcoming with checking my brother, I and my wheelchair so far… I can’t lie, I’m ready for my own bed 😴 I’m as tired as I look!

The #OsteogenesisImperfecta Multi-stakeholder Meeting is taking place today! OI patient advocate @gem_turner opened with a talk on living with OI. Gem described the event as an opportunity to "see the person behind the science" in a setting where "everybody is valued".

Flying as a wheelchair user is always anxiety inducing - but massive thank you to @Ryanair for providing fab assistance myself and Pam (wheelchair) have arrived safe and sound! 🇮🇹✈️ looking forward to joining everyone for the @REMEDi4ALL event tomorrow!

Imagine trying to just work and having to deal with extra things like this whilst being told “it’s just the way it is”. Then we’re expected to dust ourselves off and be professional. Which of course Penny I’m sure you will be amazing 🩷 but this sitch is not surprising sadly
1. I’m in tears. #DissbilityTwitter pls help me call out @ThistleHotels & @agoda. I booked a wheelchair accessible room in March for my London trip to speak at @WomensPrize tomorrow. arrived in taxi to find there’s 8 steps to get in & there’s no wheelchair accessible room free.

Today we’ve announced the roll out of our new WorkWell service. This will help thousands more people to get the support they need to stay in work. All part of our £2.5bn Back to Work Plan.

With all the ongoing misinformation about PIP, here's a thread with the facts. Disabled people face unavoidable extra costs on average, £975 per month, that's after receiving PIP (if eligible). PIP is supposed to help offset these extra costs. https://t.co/ofZbTBWY1n
