A brilliant display by scoring the winner but that chest control at 4:33 was insane would’ve been an all timer goal if it wasn’t for the keeper. That big chance he creates at 6:18 was so silky, such quick feet.

Damn never knew Division 2 had two Ballon D’or winners in Keegan & Simonsen playing in that league in 82/83. Wasn’t like they were washed as well both were 31 & 29 respectively. From the mid 70’s till the European Ban in 85 - one of the highest peaks of English Club football.

The Coventry manager after the game described that Liverpool team as the best he’s ever seen. Barnes ran the show with 2 assists (including winning a penalty), 8 dribbles & 3 big chances created. Just look at the PNP on display & the skill at 5:08 is pure filth
