I show that the longstanding association btwn female labor force participation and ♀️support for left-wing parties is conditional on their advocacy for gender equality in labor markets. WEurope (1990-2019) Party behavior matters for the gender voting gap!

I had such a fun time speaking with @LizDavidBarrett on the KickBack podcast about the role that both voters and women officeholders can play in electoral accountability for corruption in Latin America. Thanks for having me on @Sussex_SCSC!

Happen to see that the openly gay leader of the D66 party is likely to lead the new government in the Netherlands? Curious how citizens evaluate lesbian and gay party leaders? My latest co-authored article exploring this question is now online @BJPolS!

We present evidence from elite-survey data in Latin America that challenges the assumption that politicians from marginalized groups are more left-leaning than their counterparts. We hope this helps inform portrayals of HMGs' MPs, particularly by the media and public

So excited to see my first solo pub now out in @PolBehavior! I test if the "feminization strategy" is effective at retaining party votes after a corruption scandal in 4 LatAm democracies. Spoiler: it's not—unless you're in Guatemala! Check it out here: https://t.co/xFNbEeEXa6
