Went to a Giants-game in 1970. Mays on first. McCovey was up, looking at a radical shift. So he bunted. A beauty down the third-base line and into the LF corner. Mays scored. Phils’ LF might’ve got McCovey at second, but had to dig around the hot dog wrappers to find the ball.

Saw Alabama's Nick Saban talk about his positive COVID-19 test. First, I hope he stays healthy In my case, last Monday I got tested as precaution, then ran my 6-mile loop on Pleasanton ridge. Test came back positive. My body got ravaged with pain. Trying to rally on Day 10 now

I was there for Stingley as well, but as a fan. I wasn’t hired for a few weeks afterward. I knew he was hurt, but I wasn’t aware how bad he’d been injured until the next day.
@garyscribe Can't recall seeing any serious carnage in baseball, but I was at the Coliseum for Darryl Stingley and at the Alameda County Fair for Juan Gonzalez.

@garyscribe Were you there when Harold Baines hit a bullet that hit A’s P Bo McLaughlin square in the face? It was a terrible smack!sound that we could hear from the CF bleachers. I don’t know if he ever pitched after that.
