I wrote a tool in Unity to bake thickness to a texture. We tried baking in Blender and Substance, but the low poly and often overlapping mesh resulted in ugly artifacts. #unity3d #gamedev #indiedev

This part of the game was drop dead gorgeous, so getting to see how it was achieved is pretty inspiring. I thought it was way more math/tech heavy back then!

Many of us don't like the feeling having to "submit" to someone else. But after careful thought, I realized calling someone by there preferred pronouns was NO DIFFERENT than the basic respect involved when you call an older person "Ma'am" or "Sir."

Remember the outline effect on the Nintendo DS? Turns out it is way easier to build than I thought. @roystanhonks tutorial, and @alexanderameye blog post on different types of outlines helped a bunch. Depth Based Edge detection fun! #StarBuster #madewithunity #unity3D
