We live in an age where bots, trolls and geopolitical actors can readily undermine the bedrock of civil society. Fact-based inquiry. Reasoned debate. Trust in our institutions and in each other. X is failing to provide an honest “town square.” Over to @bluesky to see what’s up

Proud to have partnered with the @SquamishNation and @lisamuri_nv to rescue, relocate and repurpose this well renovated home from North Vancouver. To be good stewards of the land and water, we must think about development differently ♻️ More info: https://t.co/o2SYdbDefZ

Sources in the Official Opposition BC United party have leaked a file on the "extremism" of the B.C. Conservatives' executive director, Angelo Isidorou, less than two weeks after the parties' leaders announced a deal to work together. https://t.co/fUIQ7Ezyb6

If this is true, it’s wildly disturbing. BC Conservative campaign manager, wearing a Trump hat, flashing a ‘white power’ symbol used by many in the MAGA movement. How is this happening in BC? #bcpoli
This is very disturbing. Through my work in re establishing the B.C. human rights commission and anti racism strategy we heard first hand how these extreme groups are organizing in our communities. Now Rustad wants to bring them into the legislature?!?!?😡

Will this guy be one of the "replaced" candidates? If not, the NDP has a lot to work with here. #bcpoli
Rustad’s candidate has *a lot* of opinions about what women should do w their bodies - including that moms who don’t breastfeed should “act as a f***ing mother!” Just a reminder using sexist language to verbally abuse women doesn’t make a good leader or give you “balls” #bcpoli

“We shouldn't be filling up our landfills with perfectly good homes, especially when you have a housing crisis." Nice profile on our work to rescue, relocate and repurpose more good homes ♻️ @lisamuri_nv, @LindaCBuchanan, @MayorStewart, @danieltetrault

In terms of Imane Khalif having a “biological advantage” let’s discuss Michael Phelps. Phelps has: - Double jointed elbows & knees - A hyperextended thorax - 50% less lactic acid production than the average competitor And yet, no one ever said he had a biological advantage.

Research that shows negative language of election turnout actually further depresses turnout. Trump is hurting his own vote by saying “X group doesn’t vote.” Two things proven to motivate turnout: talk about how close the elxn will be and how every vote matters. #Kamala2024

Well said @danieltetrault! “I’m hoping something more concrete would be laid out to us, that we will be requiring this demolition deposit, rather than ‘We might have the tools to.” @BurnabyNOW_News #burnaby

City staff say plans are underway to prevent home demolition waste from ending up in landfills, but Coun. Daniel Tetrault is pushing for more specific details.

We’re rescuing, relocating and repurposing four modern homes (built in 2016) that were slated for demolition in partnership with the @theRealStsailes Nation. This affordable housing model could, and should, happen hundreds of times per year here in Metro Vancouver alone ♻️

This week we’ve been visiting remote coastal First Nation communities in Northern BC. The housing need is acute and immediate. To help bring good homes as quickly as possible, and to be good stewards of the land and water, we must think about development differently ♻️
