Proud husband, father x6 & Congressman for #AZ06 | Fighting to defend the #AmericanDream đşđ¸ | Serving on @HouseAppropsGOP & @HouseVetAffairs
Joined December 2022
A government shutdown impacts real people, real jobs, and real kitchen tables across the nation - but especially in Arizonaâs Sixth Congressional District. In AZ06, it harms members of the Armed Forces, CBP Agents, air traffic controllers, seniors, veterans, and so many more. I

Big win for Arizona âď¸âĄď¸ @POTUS adding copper to the critical minerals list recognizes what weâve long knownâcopper is essential to our economy and national security. With AZ being the top domestic producer of copper, I have fought for this important designation through my

Passengers at @PHXSkyHarbor will have their flights delayed or CANCELED because @SenRubenGallego and @SenMarkKelly are choosing healthcare for illegal aliens over paying hardworking air traffic controllers. Â Itâs time to fund the government, Senators.
Travelers flying in and out of Phoenix are already seeing the effects of the FAA ordering a reduction in flights amid the ongoing government shutdown. FOX 10's Taylor Wirtz hears from a few stranded travelers.

Saddened to learn of the passing of Stu Carter â a proud Air Force veteran, devoted cyclist, and tireless advocate for others. Through VeloVets and his work across Sierra Vista, Stu uplifted countless lives. Laura and I are praying for his wife Anne and all who loved him.

Yesterday, I joined colleagues in DC to demand Senate Democrats end the shutdown. @SenateGOP have voted 14 times to open the governmentâ@SenateDems 14 times to keep it closed. At 37 days and counting, this is the longest shutdown in US history. It is time to stop the madness.

Republicans have pushed to reopen the government 13 times to continue funding SNAP before the Nov 1 deadline. Â That deadline has passed, and funding has lapsed for SNAP. Why? Â Senate Democrats voted 13 times to block funding for food aid programs, while others from their party

Despite the government shutdown, my team has continued working for AZ06. In October, we opened 70 new cases and returned more than $150,000 to people across AZ06. My office is open and ready to help with federal casework assistance and can provide info on food aid!

@JuanCiscomani @RepCiscomani thank you for your efforts on behalf of Arizona Farmers, shippers and growers.
Another consequence of the Democrat-led shutdown - visas were not ready for the upcoming harvest. Thank you to @POTUS, @SecretaryLCD, and @russvought for your leadership to ensure the resumption of the H-2A labor certification process. This is essential to ensure farmers

.@HouseGOP fully funded SNAP for over 40M Americans with a clean, bipartisan funding bill in September. Since then, Senate Democrats voted 13 times against funding. Tomorrow, nearly 1M Arizonans could lose food aid. Democrats must end the shutdown NOW.

Great to join the 24th Annual Oro Valley State of the Town event and an honor to introduce @OroValleyAZGovâs Mayor Joe Winfield. Proud to work with leaders like Mayor Winfield to secure funding for bridges, grow local opportunities, and strengthen our local communities.

Republicans voted to keep the federal government fully funded. Republicans voted to ensure critical operations and programs, including SNAP, remain uninterrupted for Americans. Republicans voted to continue paying our troops and workers. Democrats voted to shut it all down.
SNAP benefits would be going out uninterrupted tomorrow if Democrats didn't insist on keeping the government shutdown.

You voted 13 times to keep the government shutdownârisking families in need not receiving SNAP aid, H2A visas not being processed, and federal employees not being paidâŚwhile you happily parade around on late night comedy talk shows collecting a paycheck. Thatâs disgusting.
Trumpâs sitting on $5 billion that could feed families right now. Instead, heâs pretending his hands are tied while Republican leadership blocks bills to fund SNAP. They are using hunger as leverage. Itâs disgusting.
