I mean sure NTK 👋 but these Fourier features differ from Tancik et al. (2020) in that they handle high-frequency content in individual pixel levels, not in low-dimensional image space.

We show that passing input points through a simple Fourier feature mapping enables a multilayer perceptron (MLP) to learn high-frequency functions in low-dimensional problem domains. These results...

Does anyone have intuition for the Fourier features in Kingma et al. (2022) Is the learned set of frequencies {7,8} meaningful?

Dear @GISAID, you've done a great job collecting the world's largest database of SARS-CoV-2 genomes. It would be great if that database were publicly available. My team would love to do Omicron research, but our epicov feed broke in November and we can no longer access genomes.
