@McKenzieKate @GstnMedici @BenBooth157 @lawstrath 2) how such a journey can be traced not only in domestic climate litigation, but also within different international regimes. We are convinced that the book will be a welcome addition to the growing literature on the topic.

@McKenzieKate @GstnMedici @BenBooth157 @lawstrath I was joined by two of my co-editors, @McKenzieKate and @GstnMedici with unfortunately our final editor Lennart Wegener not being able to join. We discussed two of the key features of the book: 1) the thread throughout being the litigation journey from strategy to impact and

Sad to leave the CNI project, but also happy to bring back to my role in @UniStrathclyde, to my students, the insights and the learning that comes with a secondment. I now look forward to my future work on islands with @iucn_wcel and @iwra_water

Beyond the CNI project and my internationalisation work, I have also had the chance to work closely with Shetland Islands Council and people in Shetland. I had the chance to travel to some of its smallest off grid islands and really appreciate its unique culture and history.

from developing links between Scottish islands and Malta and Vanuatu, to developing ties with Finland, Ireland and Croatia. This part of the work was incredible and has allowed me to start learning about island policies in other countries from which Scotland can learn a lot.

In a climate crisis, we need Good Enough Data for Fast and Just Climate Action. It does not give for a cool acronym, but hopefully you get the gist of it. Another facet of my work over the past three years has been my involvement with Scottish international partner

I have learnt many things on the way, and others I still do not have answers for. I feel that in a climate emergency, if you wait for the perfect data and the perfect framework, you will just be wasting your time.

If the climate crisis is an emergency, and it is an emergency, we need to start acting! If climate action on islands is to be welcome and meaningful, it has to be driven by the island communities. The CNI project has tried to do both over its first three years.

This has been a unique experience! It was incredible to work on and with Scottish islands to promote climate action from the bottom up. I am sure we made mistakes on the way, but I stick to the vision we had from day one.
