Gov. Bill Lee unveiled a plan for $140M in grants, so every public and private school could have armed security officers. But, he told lawmakers it was up to them to decide red flag laws and released nothing about gun restrictions. (3/)

Reporters already have the autopsies. Whoever is telling the parents that this law will block the release is mistaken. Once the media has legally obtained docs (whether through a request or leak) nothing can stop them. Reputable orgs won’t publish because there is no news value.

A woman speaking on behalf of Covenant parents says the autopsies of the three children will be released by media if HB 7007 is not passed. The bill strips autopsies of minors from public records. If passed in the House, it'd take the Senate reopening committees to pass.

I made maps comparing the 2015, 2019 and 2023 Nashville mayoral elections because I have nothing better to do with my time. Each highlighted box represents a precinct where the candidate received 200 or more votes. Let's start with Freddie O'Connell compared to Megan Barry:

Rep. Clemmons is now arguing that whoever recorded the video of the trio was violating House rules banning the recording of proceedings. So far, no one will say who recorded that video. "We aren't playing by the same rules in an even or fair manner," Clemmons said.

Tennessee lawmakers from both parties agree that expanding broadband into rural areas is vital. So in 2022, they passed a sales tax exemption on purchasing broadband equipment. Except this $204M tax break is likely to primarily benefit one company: AT&T.
