Shorter than anticipated but no less productive site visit to meet and coordinate with the best people you could wish for collabs. We will be studying bird movement in a mosaic of natural, agricultural, and urban landscape to understand how diseases move. #E4Warning @fredbartu

At @EuropeVeo we are also assessing mosquito pathogens in the 2 existing Aedes species in Greenland. also refining a bit their taxonomy, as some hybrid forms exist.
VEO's goal is to assess the risk that, as the Arctic warms and the permafrost thaws, long-frozen soil could release dangerous pathogens.
