Design leader and good pal was sharing that LLMs make DevOps knowable. Their community of designers is now embracing ‘deploy to prod’.

This narrative played out in ‘The Old Man’ was worth every Hulu ad watched [and I hate streaming ads]… https://t.co/q2jkyopfVj

Evaluations, page 6.
Readers responded with both surprise and agreement last week when I wrote that the single biggest predictor of how rapidly a team makes progress building an AI agent lay in their ability to drive a disciplined process for evals (measuring the system’s performance) and error

That Ollama would release their own front end [let’s call it an app] hints at a roadmap with more ambition. And, Ollama Cloud also suggests they have enterprise ambitions. Priority one for any enterprise is an account system.

Obviously the Apps SDK isn’t needed to build or achieve the primitive demo examples we’ve seen thus far. And, it’s likely teams in highly regulated industries won’t take this approach; i.e. they will own the abstraction layer [if they use one at all].

Evals debate isn’t funny or rational for healthcare. What the LLM driven workflow and responses produce must be checked for quality _and_ accuracy.

What’s the distribution of AI engineers on IG? Would do social code reviews there [missed opportunity for this platform] but the ads are a vibe killer. TUI > IG… TUI enables a more rational message and THREADS experience. And you get live demos, i.e. sandboxes.

For all the trends and talk about potentially fewer new grads hired in tech... ... when I think back of the best hires I made as a manager, these were: - 50% experienced folks knocking it out of the ballpark - 50% new grads who were SO motivated, smart, and heads down

Coding agents we use now really forces isolation for the engineer. Instead, we need a social experience. It may not be exactly like extreme pairing but it should create a human connection, to prioritize the human feedback loop over the back-and-forth with LLMs.

Local TUI isn't a fit for all of my partners; some needed to run in the cloud, privately.
