Cycling through London’s weather is still one of the most effective & efficient ways to get around. 🚴‍♀️ . Not only do you skip the traffic, but the fresh air keeps you energized—even in the drizzle! Plus, it’s often faster than public transport & driving for shorter journeys. 🌧️☔️

It’s 5th Nov & I’m seeing loads of people still commuting by bike!. Why? Even with the cold nipping close, cycling remains the cheapest, fastest, greenest way to get around. I’ve been cycling to work since ‘09 & I’ve yet to see everyone put their bikes away during the winter 🥶

I’ve found Low Traffic Neighbourhoods bring big benefits. 🌱 By reducing through-traffic, they create safer streets for pedestrians & cyclists & lower air pollution. They encourage more people to walk & cycle, boosting health & well-being. 🙌

My commute this morning was anything but frightening—it was fast and a treat for my health, wallet, and the planet! 🎃. Imagine the traffic nightmare if everyone cycling today were in cars instead! 🚲🌍. 👻💀🎃

Cycling infrastructure should be consistent and safe. Part-time lanes create confusion and put cyclists and drivers at risk. Full-time, segregated lanes encourage more people to ride. For kids to cycle safely, they need routes free from cars and buses. 🙏

Tottenham at its finest! 👇💚🚲. Pedaling to school = healthier kids, less traffic & greener planet! Cycling not only keeps kids active but also reduces congestion. Fewer cars on the road mean safer streets & smoother commutes for everyone. it’s a fun way to start the day!🙌

Living car-free in London doesn’t mean never driving. On the occasion we need a car, we borrow from our neighbours! The rest of the time we🚶‍♀️🚲🚝 🛴🚌. It works for us & them:.💸 Saves money ⚙️ Reduces cars on the road🚶‍♀️Promotes active travel. Sharing is caring (&sustainable)!

Some say as winter approaches, people put their bikes away and stop cycling. But on this gorgeous October day, it seems like everyone’s still rolling! 😉🚴‍♂️

For those concerned about whether this is a designated cycle path – I cycled the same route today & took a 📸. And, of course we can move round the car, but parking over cycling lanes creates ongoing challenges, esp for those who rely on these paths for safe &accessible travel.

Another day, another car blocking the cycling lane 🚲💥 . Cycling lanes take up such a small % of the road, yet here we are again with cars blocking it 🚲🙄. We need to keep these spaces clear to ensure everyone can travel safely. 🙌

A real-life example inspired by @BobFromAccounts! 🚴‍♀️. Today’s journey: 5 miles each way. 28 minutes by bike, 38 by car. We chose to cycle.

Well, what do you know… 24 hours later, and yet another vehicle blocking the cycle lane. No wonder more kids don’t cycle. Maybe we need more bollards? 🤔

I dread this part of my journey. I often get beeped at while cycling along West Bank. I try to explain that the c’ lane is one-way, going North to South. Cyclists going the other way have to use the road. But seriously, who thinks it's okay to just park in the cycling lane?!🤬
