A house that's been in @craigmelvin family since it was built in 1950 was put up for auction to pay for medical bills — but Craig’s family bought it back. Now it's being leased to a nonprofit called Family Promise to provide transitional housing for families in need.

We are proud to have partnered with @RepSherrill on Tuesday to celebrate the reintroduction of the Homeless Children & Youth Act alongside many of our peers. We look forward to a future where everyone facing homelessness & housing instability can access vital federal resources!
Over 80% of children experiencing homelessness fall in the gaps of federal definitions of homelessness, making it hard to access resources. I reintroduced the Homeless Children & Youth Act to fix disparities across agencies & provide flexibility to communities using federal funds
