Back from #DEFCON33 and the first-ever #nix #nixos community there. Lots of ideas to write-up but one idea from tomberek about starting to think about fun ideas we can do with angled brackets once NIX_PATH is removed.

#protobuf continues to be a thorn at my side in the use of it within our #bazel repo. 🥲 . Building from source is simple and easy but it's rare to do at scale. Adding prebuilt artifacts seems appealing at first but you pay the piper later.
