Research Group Leader @mpiib_berlin. #Genetics of clinical and ancient #microbes to understand the #evolution of #infectious #diseases and the #microbiome
Berlin, Germany
Joined July 2010
Our study about S. aureus evolution on patients with atopic dermatitis is out! Check out a thread about all highlights by my awesome PI @conTaminatedsci back at @MIT. Shout out to @teresadefresa for enrolling patients, for @vedomics functional work, and the entire team. 🍾.
Our paper on S aureus adaptation in atopic dermatitis is published in @cellhostmicrobe. Proud of this collaborative work led by @fm_key . Its been a while since the preprint, and there are some updates, so a thread is in order 🧵.

Well said Aida, and what a party we miss. Kudos to @maxplanckpress for recognizing the potential in Svante and aDNA early on.
Amazing news! For Svante obviously, but also for the department and the institute, and for the research field as a whole. So well deserved. I would love to be in Leipzig to help celebrate!.
